Killeen Chamber, TAMUCT, and Army hosting University Research Park & Innovation District Summit

Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce – Texas A&M University-Central Texas (TAMUCT), in partnership with U.S. Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC) and the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, invites you to join them at the University Research Park & Innovation District Summit on Wednesday, September 1 at 9:00 a.m. at 1001 Leadership Pl, Killeen, TX 76549.

The Texas A&M University System plans to leverage its research capabilities through a Research Park at A&M University – Central Texas. The Research Park will capitalize on collaborations with Fort Hood, Operational Test Command, defense, and technology industry to bring intellectual property, products, and services to market at the speed of innovation. Researchers and Industry wishing to engage in the transfer and commercialization of innovation and divergent ideas should plan to attend.

Come hear Dr. Patrick Baker, Director Army Research Laboratory, discuss Army research initiatives and goals in support of Department of Defense modernization initiatives as well as the importance of expanding research opportunities. The Army Research Lab conducts research across a broad spectrum of areas to include weapons and materials, sensors and electron devices, computational and information sciences, human research and engineering, and vehicle technology.
