The Reuben sandwich was invented in the Northeast, New York to be exact. Recently, the inventive culinary team at Waco’s Z’s at the Curry fused Northeast and Far East to craft a uniquely Wacoan creation, the Daily Dish for today: Reuben Rolls.
These eggrolls forgo the traditional Asian fillings and sub in the ingredients of New York’s original sandwich: corned beef, sauerkraut, and swiss cheese. Thousand Island dressing is plated on the side for dipping.
Z’s is an “upscale lounge bar serving wine, beer, delicious cocktails, and light appetizers in an elegant, swanky atmosphere” located at 611 Washington in Downtown Waco.
