According to City of Waco building permit records, Dave’s Hot Chicken will soon occupy the building that was formerly a Carl’s Jr. burger franchise at 4017 S Jack Kultgen Expy, Waco, TX 76706. The Dave’s Hot Chicken Facebook page describes the concept as a “parking-lot sensation turned fast-casual hit … now bringing the heat to over 35 locations nationwide.”
QSR Magazine reports that Dave’s Hot Chicken is planning to open 10 Texas locations along the Interstate 35 corridor. According to Texas franchisees Drew Wilson, Joe Dickerson, Craig Smith, and Casey Klajbor. The group is seeking endcap and pad locations from 2,000 to 2,500 enclosed square feet.
