California-based Black Bear Diner building Harker Heights location

Restaurant News reports that Black Bear Diner, a chain of a few dozen restaurants with roots in Mt. Shasta, California, plans to open a location in Harker Heights. The restaurants, according to the company’s Facebook page, offer breakfast served all day, lunch that’s “quick & satisfying,” and a dinner menu of “comfort food classics.” In addition to Harker Heights, according to the same Restaurant News report, Black Bear Diner is building five more locations in the Houston, DFW, and McAllen areas. Once the announced locations are complete, Texas will be the California chain’s largest market outside its home state.
