Market on 8th, an open-air gourmet food hall, is coming to 8th Street in downtown Waco. The food hall will feature local culinary businesses that appeal to the folks living downtown and tourists alike.
Culinary entrepreneurs and longtime friends Theresa Edwards and Cheryl Urbanovsky had a dream to open their own coffee and fudge shop. As they worked to make that dream a reality, their vision evolved to a food hall concept that will include other local gourmet businesses.
Market on 8th will include GiGi’s Fancy Fudge, TX Grounds Coffee, Gathering Board (charcuterie), Hometown Bakery (gourmet sandwiches, salads, etc), and more. In addition to take-out, the venue will feature an outdoor, covered dining area in a casual, nostalgic setting.
“God has opened every door for this – every step of the way and expanded our vision for it. We want to highlight some of the best local gourmet offerings into the downtown mix,” say Edwards and Urbanovsky.
