Black Bear Diner (Harker Heights, TX) announced via their Facebook page earlier today that they anticipate a mid-December opening. In the same post, the new restaurant included an image of the newly installed Black Bear Diner sign. The restaurants, according to the company’s Facebook page, offer breakfast served all day, lunch that’s “quick & satisfying,” and a dinner menu of “comfort food classics.”
Earlier this year, Restaurant News reported that Black Bear Diner, a chain of a few dozen restaurants with roots in Mt. Shasta, California, had plans to open a location in Harker Heights. In addition to Harker Heights, according to the same Restaurant News report, Black Bear Diner is building five more locations in the Houston, DFW, and McAllen areas. Once the announced locations are complete, Texas will be the California chain’s largest market outside its home state.
