Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has obtained the necessary permits to construct a new location in Waco, Texas. The fast-food chain, known for its Southern-style fried chicken, plans to build a standalone restaurant at 1006 S 11th Street, with construction scheduled to begin on June 1, 2023. The estimated cost of the project is $1,000,000, and the expected completion date is March 1, 2024.
The new Popeyes location will be a quick-service restaurant, covering 2,541 square feet, and will feature the brand’s signature red and orange color scheme. The project is privately funded, on private land for private use, according to public records. This will be the latest addition to Popeyes’ growing list of locations across the United States.
The opening of the new Waco location is expected to create job opportunities for the local community and attract customers with the chain’s popular menu items, including its famous spicy chicken sandwich. With the necessary permits obtained, Popeyes can now move forward with construction plans and look forward to opening its doors to the public in the spring of 2024.
