The commanding general of the III Armored Corps and Fort Hood, Lt. Gen. Sean C. Bernabe, hosted a press conference on March 17 to provide an update on the death of Pvt. Ana Basalduaruiz. The 20-year-old combat engineer from the 1st Cavalry Division was found deceased on March 13, and the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division is leading the investigation into her death.
