Waco, Texas is witnessing a significant growth in the hospitality industry with the addition of multiple new hotels. Since 2018, a total of 1,245 hotel rooms have been added to Waco’s hotel capacity through new hotel openings. Moreover, the current hotel construction activity in the area shows a promising future for the hotel industry in Waco.
Presently, there are five hotels actively under construction, which will add 593 rooms in total. These include the A C Hotel by Marriott with 182 rooms, Cambria Suites with 130 rooms, EVEN Hotel with 130 rooms and numerous amenities, Hotel Herringbone with 21 rooms, and Holiday Inn Express with 110 rooms.
The Waco market also has three new hotel projects in the pipeline, Hotel 1928, Everhome Suites, and StayAPT Suites extended stay, with an estimated 166 rooms.
The increase in hotel construction is likely due to the city’s growing tourism industry, which includes the popular Magnolia Market at the Silos, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, and the Dr. Pepper Museum. These new hotels will cater to the growing influx of tourists and enhance the overall hospitality industry in the region.
