Segovia Wine Bar is pleased to announce its soft opening on March 30th, bringing a traditional wine bar to Downtown Waco that will offer locals and tourists a taste of Spain. The bar will feature a limited menu of small plates that showcase the cuisine of Spain, sourcing local farms, Waco’s downtown farmers market, and artisan food preparers. The wine program will dominate Spanish and Portuguese varietals, along with some other Old and New World wines.
Segovia Wine Bar is the brainchild of a Waco native with Spanish heritage, who aims to create a comfortable and intimate environment for guests to enjoy quality ingredients and fine wine. The establishment will feature tapas, pintxos, cocas, charcuterie, fine cheeses, and specialty desserts.
Tapas, pintxos, and cocas are staples of the Spanish cuisine, offering a small yet diverse taste of quality Spanish cuisine that is meant to be enjoyed with friends and family. The Segovia Wine Bar will offer a unique experience for guests, combining the simplicity of quality ingredients and the elegance of fine wine in a cozy environment.
The wine bar will predominantly offer Spanish and Portuguese varietals from regions such as La Rioja, Navarra, Ribera del Duero, Castille y Leon, Rueda, Toro, Calatayud, Priorat, Rias Baixas, Audalusia, Jerez, Douro, Vinho Verde, Lisboa, Dao, along with some other Old and New World wines. The soft opening will feature a limited menu, with a full menu to be unveiled later.
