Belton ISD Staff Celebrated in New Video Series

Belton Independent School District is recognizing the outstanding work of its teachers and staff in a new video series. Titled “World-Class Employee,” the series showcases a teacher or staff member in action, while a voice-over narrates the positive impact they have on the community. The videos, which premiered on the district’s Facebook and Twitter accounts in February, aim to highlight the people behind the success of the district’s schools.

According to Jennifer Bailey, Executive Director of Communications and Community Engagement, the “World-Class Employee” series provides an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of the employees and show the community the impact they make on students and families. The initiative also encourages colleagues and students to celebrate the featured staff members.

The series features a range of staff members, including Marla York, an eighth-grade teacher at North Belton Middle School; Grace Garcia-Moran and Juanita Muro-Gonzales, paraprofessionals at the Belton Early Childhood School; Jacob Guerrero, a secondary band teacher; Karen Corbitt, a crossing guard on Dunns Canyon Road; Chris Loper, a teacher/coach at Lake Belton High School; Becky Lea, an instructional coach at High Point Elementary; Shenick Hicks, a Life Skills teacher at Belton High School; and Ryley Cox, a first-grade teacher at Charter Oak Elementary.

Robyn Jackson, a fifth-grade teacher at Charter Oak Elementary, was the first staff member featured in the series. She expressed gratitude for being recognized and is proud to be a part of a team of dedicated educators working hard every day for the students of Belton ISD.
